Almendra 2000´s nace como un proyecto de clase que trae a la famosa banda argentina "Almendra" a la primera década de los 2000 (la famosa estética y2k). Inspirado por el gran error del siglo, la aparición del internet y los grandes cambios sociales y políticos al rededor del globo, se reinterpreta el primer disco de la banda —con el nombre homónimo— bajo las exigencias de la aceleración, la rapidez y la experimentación. Esto sin dejar de lado la nostalgia por lo que alguna vez fue y ya jamás será, los sentidos sobrecargados y los cuerpos surrealistas y oníricos retratados en el disco. Así pues, el icónico payaso de la portada original, junto a su nariz brillante, su corbata y su sombrero, viaja en el tiempo y nos demuestra su sincronía y diacronía efímera.
Almendra 2000's was born as a class project that brings the famous Argentinean band "Almendra" to the first decade of the 2000s (the famous y2k aesthetics). Inspired by the big mistake of the century, the appearance of the internet, and the big social and political changes around the globe, the band's first album -with the homonymous name- is reinterpreted under the demands of acceleration, speed, and experimentation. This without leaving aside the nostalgia for what once was and never will be, the overloaded senses, and the surreal and dreamlike bodies portrayed in the album. Thus, the iconic clown of the original cover, along with his shiny nose, tie, and hat, travels in time and shows us his synchronicity and ephemeral diachrony.
